What's with the storyteller thing?
I've always loved stories, and a designer is as much a storyteller as anyone. Whether I'm helping a client share the story of a successful year in an annual report, the story of a company's new direction through rebranding, or how good someone's root beer really tastes in an ad for a billboard: they're all stories.
I am a classically trained designer with a writer's edge: a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design Communication as well as a BA in English with a writing emphasis from Texas Tech University in 1998. Better yet, I've served tours of duty with then Dennard, Lacey, and Wood as a Designer, Southwest Airlines as a Writer, and Irving Bible Church as an Art Director.
I love to spin a good yarn.
